So happy to be able to share the absolutely amazing final image for this incredible project.I was contacted by top world wide agency Porter Novelli by their London agency to work remotely with Benjamin from Benjamin Kaufmann Photography. Benjamin managed and art directed the shoot from London, shot by me locally, due to on going covid restrictions. The final image was then treated with incredible post production artwork applied by the renowed make up artist, and winner of the BBC Glow Up series – JMac JMac Makeup. The campaign is called Shine a Light XLH for the Japanese pharma company Kyowa Kirin.JMac’s words on the imagery…“Shauneen is an extremely positive and resilient person with a love of art and an overarching love for her supportive family. Shauneen hopes that people will “see us” as normal people, living with XLH, but separate from their condition. The eye on the chest with beams of lights emanating outwards represents Shauneen’s charisma shining through the darkness of her challenges, emulating her positive mindset, loving heart and kindness. Listening to her wish for her son’s healthy and happy future and to watch her family grow reminded me of plant growth, where photosynthesis is a key factor to any living organism and highlights the importance and vitality of light.”
