Belfast’s Bullitt Hotel has installed a lifesaving defibrillator at its entrance on Church Lane, in the heart of the city centre.
Part-funded with investment from Belfast One BID, the installation of the new defibrillator comes ahead of this weekend’s Moy Park Belfast City Marathon and was inspired by a powerful story from last year’s event.
In 2024, marathon runner John Deery suffered from a sudden cardiac arrest. The swift actions of a spectator, who had a defibrillator in his car—and a nurse on the course- saved his life.
